Yellow Band of Quality
In 1883, the passionate 24-year-old Oscar F. Mayer opened a small butcher shop in Chicago; it was the beginning of a great history. The yellow band, which stands for confidence in quality and promise to consumers, was the first case of "brand meat," and it still embodies the Oscar Mayer products nowadays when the company has evolved into the representative meat processor in the US.
